One of the other places was closed so we stopped. It dwarfs in size and looks of the others places on the strip but the chef knew what he was doing. Lobster cream and terrikiI tuna for appetizer and blackened mahi for dinner. Very very good.
I was really wanting to like this place, but unfortunately, I was left for wanting. The location is great, along the water with great daytime and evening views. The bar is good too - friendly bartender, friendly wait staff as well. But the food...well, I have had better. We had nothing out of the ordinary - I had their fish dinner, my wife had their chicken. Although my fish was good (a bit salty, but easily overlooked) my wife's chicken was, well, fishy. Meaning, it was chicken - no doubt about that - the problem was the sauce they put on it tasted like fish. I have to say, the place does look a bit run-down - looks like it's in need of a makeover, and hopefully they can shore up the dinner menu along with it. We'll go back, but it might take some time...

No way. So she sabotaged us by giving bad information to our actual server, a sweet girl on her second day working. Double charges. Bill amounts rounded up. Wrong change given with receipt. I spoke to the owner. He was aware of some employee issues. He issued an apology and a gift card. Still only getting a 2-star because I'm generous.

We came here with friends this past weekend after we tried a couple of other restaurants on this road, they all had hour to two hour waits, so we came down to this one, which was practically empty when we got there. That should have been a warning. All four of us did not like our food, the service was horrible. We had to ask for things two and three times and then still never got them. What a bad experience in what was otherwise a lovely weekend. Do not come here expecting good food or service. I would say stop in for a drink, but the waitress only brought us one drink each even after we repeatedly asked for refills. This place needs help.

While we didn't love the food here, this will be a return destination for us because of the awesome bartender and overall great vibe of the outdoor bar. This is one of those places you can saddle up at the bar on a Saturday afternoon and just have a good time. The clientele is friendly, there is a great view of the water and the live music was more than half decent. I had the clam chowder and we shared some kind of fried fish. Pretty average. Will come back for everything else!

I have been there two times now and probably won't go back. The place is rundown and dirty and the service is bad. The bartender kept playing with his phone and could care less about the customers. We tried the bajarita drink and it wasn't very good. Fishlips and Rustys are much better options.

It was Sunday afternoon, I had just finished the Space Coast Half Marathon and all I wanted to do was chill out, maybe catch a little NFL action on the tube, and reflect on my run. Two nights before, we hit Fishlips in the Port Canaveral area, and I wanted to try something laid back, unpretentious, and relaxing. I found in all in Baja! The beer was cold, the food was hot and the NFL was on! I actually tried a cup of their Clam Chowder and found it creamy, a good touch of spicy, and chunky! We followed that with the Blackened Mahi. I know I'll repeat myself here but I'm a stickler for how "blackened' can be overkill. You don't find that it N'awlins and, as far as I'm concerned, they set the standard for blackened! I was pleasantly pleased that it was done just right at Baja! Mixing the beans and rice together with a splash of Crystal's gave me warm fuzzies. After a Half Marathon along the Indian River, I deserved it! :P I didn't taste one but I saw a HUGE Burrito go by and started to "lust from afar!" You have a choice of fish, shrimp, chicken, or jerk pork! I will return and I will stuff my face with one of these bad boys. The menu has something for everyone. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my 6 year old Granddaughter here, and that says a lot!

Service was okay, but we the waitress suggested adding the crab legs to the lobster dinner and she said there would be 2 clusters for $10 and that was not the case. Overall I guess you just get what you pay for. The $13 lobsters were small and the crab legs too. Also my bang bang shrimp came out cold. We are not likely to return.

But it hasn't happened yet. The menu was very small, the service was slow and the food was forgettable. It's very possible that it will be more of a success as a bar than a restaurant. The location is fantastic, the bar areas look fun and inviting and once could imagine it rocks at night. But when I say 'forgettable food' I'm being literal. I ate there a week ago and I asked for the most popular item on the menu, and for the life of me, I can't remember what it was. I'll give it another shot next month and will update the review if needed. They were pretty new when we ate there. The wife won't be joining me. She says 'life's to short.' I want the spot to work, though, so I'm holding out hope.

This is a hidden jem in the Port! We went here on the recommendation of a local from Jumps tavern and loved the place. It's a one story, is sandwiched right between Rusty's & Fishlips but still has a great view of the ships leaving. The happy hour was AWESOME, $1.50 drafts and $2.25 wells, the bartender, Ronald, was extremely, friendly, made a number of great recommendations & was all in all a pleasure. If you're at the Port, give this little place a try!

I had the lobster special. Based on my waitresses advice I had the tail, as the meat was sweater. The meat was sweat, but it was not very tender. Maybe my expectations of what lobster should be like are incorrect. I have to say the restaurants in the port area do not blow me away. I guess if you are looking for a place to hang out, drink beer and listen to music and maybe eat food they are great, but as eat only places there are better in the area.

Food was good, the waterfront location is always a bonus, and the live music was really good - they were set up in the bar area, but it carried all over the outdoor deck. I don't know if it could be heard indoors, but you're in Florida on vacation eating on the waterfront, what are you doing indoors?! The service was terrible, though. We watched other tables sit down after us, order, and get their food long before we'd gotten ours. My wife's order came out missing sides, and when she told the server, she argued with us, saying we didn't get those. Really nice, thanks for that. Also my fish sandwich only came with 9 french fries. NINE. I counted. Finally, getting the check took 24 minutes! While waiting, I had the time to walk over to the bar, buy a beer, drink the beer, settle my tab, tip the musicians, and sit back down before the check even came back. After telling the manager about this stupidly long wait time he took a few things off our check, but the whole experience really left a sour aftertaste.

Got a chance to get back to the Port with my family (we live in Gainesville) and had tried Baja's before so gave it another go. Food was great again (the lobster deal was too good to pass up) and It's a very family friendly place: great views from the back deck, good service and the band was great! They let my daughters (5 and 3 yrs old) sit in with them and play with the shakers which made them feel really special! Good fun again.

This is a seafood restaurant in Port Canaveral and has indoor and outdoor seating. It offers ok views of ships leaving and arriving the port, but a second story view, such as at Fishlips next door are always better. The atmosphere is pretty simple. It reminded me of a local bar and restaurant really. There was a garish LED palm tree on one of the patios and some other random decorations. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food, however, is palatable, at best. I ordered a blackened grouper and green beans and my wife got the grilled (instead of fried) bang bang shrimp burrito. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the portions sizes are almost embarrassing. My wife got about 5-6 shrimp in her burrito, and it certainly wasn't "huge" as the waitress advertised. I had a small portion of grouper and about 10 green beans on my plate. I was not told that the green beans was an up charge, and I ended up paying $20 just for my small grouper and green beans. There was live music, and while it wasn't to my taste, I always do appreciate live music. It was a bit loud, so we sat on the other side of the outside division. The drinks were pretty bad, to say the least, but at least the were $3 for their anniversary celebration. I basically had a rum punch that had grapefruit juice in it for some reason, and my wife picked up a "glass" of wine which came out as about 3 ounces until we mentioned something. I wasn't expecting much from any restaurant in this area, as they really are there for location and not quality, but this is the worst restaurant I've had on that strip. I won't be going back.

Whatever you do, if you go there, DO NOT order the "award winning chowder." Pitiful - with uniform square bits of clams??? Really? I had the Maine Lobster and I can't say I was impressed but for $12.95 I can't expect much. It was decent and the potatoes served with it were perfectly tasty. The peel and eat shrimp were excellent....mainly because fresh seafood in Orlando is non existent. What I really liked was the $3.00 margaritas (or Bajaritas which they told me they had to call them because tourists think a real margarita is the frozen concoction). For a mere $3.00 they hit the spot and they didn't use sour mix. All in all, not bad. Not great but not bad.

Went here for supper on a monday evening it was busy as it was bogo night with coupon.Thank god it was basically half price as it was not even close to worth that! There were four of us ranging rom 59 to 86 yrs old .We found the portions small and pretty much tasteless.Had blackened mahi with rice .Mahi was dry the rice had no flavor at all just boiled or plain steamed rice had to stomach it down just to try and fill up which didnt happen.Grills next door is a zillion times better in quantities and certainly flavor.Waitress asian or what ever she had a attitude was not pleasant at all and only thing she should be waiting on is possibly a gator who could snap back at her! This was my first and last time there my 86 yr mother who eats like a bird said after we left she was still hungry !Enough said we got home a popped some pop corn which was delicious

5 stars for Brunch, 3 stars for lunch and dinner. For brunch (ordered off the menu, not buffet), 7 different benedicts (including one vegetarian option), custom omelets, first mimosa free then $2.00 for each one thereafter. They use real OJ and are generous on the benedict toppings. Fresh crab (had to pick out shells), crawfish, shrimp and andouille sausage on the cajun option. DELISH! (Skip the bloody mary, though...it has to be really bad to send one of those back. We did.) Great view of the cruise ships and nice to dine somewhere where the outdoor seating is divided by a wall for smoking and non-smoking patrons. For dinner, they offer a surf and turf with steak and lobster for under $20. Not the best in the world, but great for the price. The owners have great character...true local restaurateurs...the staff can be hit or miss. Overall worth a shot Monday-Saturday but make sure you come for brunch.

Complained to waitress about lobster after meal was finished & was fully prepared to pay for meal I ate. Wanted the kitchen to know they should change something. She offered dessert which sounded like a comp for the bad meal but, when the check came she had charged us full price for lobster & for dessert. We complained but waitress didn't offer to change anything. Requested to speak to manager who ultimately took off the dessert & discounted the lobster 20%.

Was recommended to us by locals. We arrived to this restaurant at 5pm. There was a smaller menu inserted into one of our larger menus with specials available from 2-5:30pm. We were not planning on ordering anything from it, but the server who seated us and waited on us eventually took it away saying the promotion was over. We thought that was a bit odd. Went in for the lobster cream dip. It was just ok...Although I did appreciate it bring warm. It was missing the lobster, however..so no meaty chunks. .. just sweetish orange cream cheese... Entrées: grouper pot pie was on the smaller side but was piping hot and full of flavor. Garlic steak was good. But green beans were frozen and roasted potatoes were tasty but somewhat unevenly cooked. What bumps the review down from a 3-star to 2-star rating was the awkward service and random stray cat that walked around the outdoor seating area getting fed by customers and receiving no boot from staff members. Also, what bothered us was that we had two coupons with us, one for a free beverage and one for a 10% off purchase...which we indicated we had the 10% off one to our server at the beginning..This is before we ordered. When the bill came out she did not put in the discount immediately but we figured we would put both coupons in the bill with our card. Eventually she came back and told us she ended up giving us the free beverage coupon only because they could not be combined. Rather than giving us the more favorable one, she decided to give us the free drink coupon which was only $2.50 off a $45 bill. We just decided to give the other coupon to another customer because we are surely not returning to this establishment.

They let my daughters (5 and 3 yrs old) sit in with them and play with the shakers which made them feel really special! Good fun again.

This is a seafood restaurant in Port Canaveral and has indoor and outdoor seating. It offers ok views of ships leaving and arriving the port, but a second story view, such as at Fishlips next door are always better. The atmosphere is pretty simple. It reminded me of a local bar and restaurant really. There was a garish LED palm tree on one of the patios and some other random decorations. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food, however, is palatable, at best. I ordered a blackened grouper and green beans and my wife got the grilled (instead of fried) bang bang shrimp burrito. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the portions sizes are almost embarrassing. My wife got about 5-6 shrimp in her burrito, and it certainly wasn't "huge" as the waitress advertised. I had a small portion of grouper and about 10 green beans on my plate. I was not told that the green beans was an up charge, and I ended up paying $20 just for my small grouper and green beans. There was live music, and while it wasn't to my taste, I always do appreciate live music. It was a bit loud, so we sat on the other side of the outside division. The drinks were pretty bad, to say the least, but at least the were $3 for their anniversary celebration. I basically had a rum punch that had grapefruit juice in it for some reason, and my wife picked up a "glass" of wine which came out as about 3 ounces until we mentioned something. I wasn't expecting much from any restaurant in this area, as they really are there for location and not quality, but this is the worst restaurant I've had on that strip. I won't be going back.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. Our family stopped for lunch recently before boarding a cruise ship and our collective recommendation is to choose elsewhere. Whatever you do, if you go there, DO NOT order the "award winning chowder." Pitiful - with uniform square bits of clams??? Really? We fed most of our meal to two stray cats roaming the porch area where we ate. Only positive: Staff is friendly.

I had the Maine Lobster and I can't say I was impressed but for $12.95 I can't expect much. It was decent and the potatoes served with it were perfectly tasty. The peel and eat shrimp were excellent....mainly because fresh seafood in Orlando is non existent. What I really liked was the $3.00 margaritas (or Bajaritas which they told me they had to call them because tourists think a real margarita is the frozen concoction). For a mere $3.00 they hit the spot and they didn't use sour mix. All in all, not bad. Not great but not bad.

Good place to have a light meal and some drinks. Goat bread for appetizer was great, salsa tasted homemade, no watery but chunky! I ordered the bang bang burrito with spicy shrimp and my husband ordered the pulled pork burrito! So tasty! def a place to enjoy!

Went here for supper on a monday evening it was busy as it was bogo night with coupon.Thank god it was basically half price as it was not even close to worth that! There were four of us ranging rom 59 to 86 yrs old .We found the portions small and pretty much tasteless.Had blackened mahi with rice .Mahi was dry the rice had no flavor at all just boiled or plain steamed rice had to stomach it down just to try and fill up which didnt happen.Grills next door is a zillion times better in quantities and certainly flavor.Waitress asian or what ever she had a attitude was not pleasant at all and only thing she should be waiting on is possibly a gator who could snap back at her! This was my first and last time there my 86 yr mother who eats like a bird said after we left she was still hungry !Enough said we got home a popped some pop corn which was delicious

Big disappointment. What they call a lobster dinner is laughable--two small, tired-looking tails. What they call martinis makes me even sadder. Service very iffy. Easily the worst restaurant at the port.

5 stars for Brunch, 3 stars for lunch and dinner. For brunch (ordered off the menu, not buffet), 7 different benedicts (including one vegetarian option), custom omelets, first mimosa free then $2.00 for each one thereafter. They use real OJ and are generous on the benedict toppings. Fresh crab (had to pick out shells), crawfish, shrimp and andouille sausage on the cajun option. DELISH! (Skip the bloody mary, though...it has to be really bad to send one of those back. We did.) Great view of the cruise ships and nice to dine somewhere where the outdoor seating is divided by a wall for smoking and non-smoking patrons. For dinner, they offer a surf and turf with steak and lobster for under $20. Not the best in the world, but great for the price. The owners have great character...true local restaurateurs...the staff can be hit or miss. Overall worth a shot Monday-Saturday but make sure you come for brunch.

Don't order the Maine lobster. Worst in town. No flavor, full of water. Friend had Baja chicken burrito which was good. Complained to waitress about lobster after meal was finished & was fully prepared to pay for meal I ate. Wanted the kitchen to know they should change something. She offered dessert which sounded like a comp for the bad meal but, when the check came she had charged us full price for lobster & for dessert. We complained but waitress didn't offer to change anything. Requested to speak to manager who ultimately took off the dessert & discounted the lobster 20%.
